مما لا شك فيه أن تناول الباحث لشخصية أدبية غير مشهورة بالبحث والدراسة يعد سلاحا ذو حدين ؛ أما الحد الأول فيتمثل في عزوف المتلقيين عن قراءة البحث وخاصة الذين جبلوا علي الإقبال على الشخصيات المشهورة . أما الحد الثاني فيتمثل في أن المهمة الحقيقية للباحث تتمثل في تسليط الضوء على الشخصيات والقضايا التي لا يدركها جمهور المتلقيين ولعله هنا تكمن القيمة الحقيقية للبحث ـ وإن كانت مجازفة ـ أن يضيف ، ويسلط الضوء على شخصيات وقضايا ويطرق أبوابا لم يسبق لها وأن طرقت .
وشخصية الدراسة في هذا البحث تتمثل في الفقيه عبد المجيد الشرنوبي أحد أئمة الأزهر وأحد رواد حركة التنوير والذي أسهم مع الإمام محمد عبده في إنشاء صحيفة الوقائع المصرية كما ترك مجموعة ـ غير قليلة ـ من الأعمال الفنية والدراسات والشروح . غير أننا في هذا البحث سوف نقف بالبحث والدراسة عند عملين فقط من أعماله.
There is no doubt that the researcher's study and research of an unknown literary figure is a double-edged sword; the first limit is represented by the reluctance of recipients to read the research, especially those who are accustomed to accepting famous figures. The second limit is represented by the fact that the real mission of the researcher is to shed light on figures and issues that the audience of recipients is not aware of, and perhaps here lies the real value of the research - even if it is a risk - to add, shed light on figures and issues and knock on doors that have never been knocked on before.
The character of the study in this research is represented by the jurist Abdul Majeed Al-Sharnoubi, one of the imams of Al-Azhar and one of the pioneers of the Enlightenment movement, who contributed with Imam Muhammad Abduh in establishing the Egyptian Gazette, and he also left a group - not a few - of artistic works, studies and explanations. However, in this research, we will stop at research and study only two of his works.
