تناول البحث مسألة الاتصال والانقطاع بين محمد بن عجلان، وبين أنس بن مالك، وقد تبين من خلاله :
أن أغلب من ترجم لمحمد بن عجلان ذكر أنه يروي عن أنس
 بن مالك، ونبه الإمام الذهبي على أن رواية محمد بن عجلان عن أنس بن مالك ممكنة إن صحت، كما نبه تقي الدين المقريزي على أن محمد بن عجلان أدرك أنس بن مالك.
لم أقف في تتبعي لمرويات محمد بن عجلان عن أنس بن مالك
إلا على روايتين اثنتين، ولم تسلما من الضعف.
مع ذكر من ترجم لمحمد بن عجلان أنه يروي عن أنس بن مالك،
إلا أنه لم يثبت سماعه منه أو لقاؤه به، ومع ان الروايات التي وردت من طريقه عنه لم تصح، إلا أنها لو صح الطريق إليها، فهي من قبيل المرسل الخفي؛ للمعاصرة مع عدم إمكان اللقاء.
The research dealt with the issue of communication and interruption between Muhammad bin Ajlan and Anas bin Malik, and it became clear through it:
Most of those who translated Muhammad bin Ajlan mentioned that he narrated on the authority of Anas bin Malik, and Imam Al-Dhahabi warned that Muhammad bin Ajlan’s narration on the authority of Anas bin Malik was possible if authentic. Taqi al-Din al-Maqrizi also warned that Muhammad bin Ajlan met Anas bin Malik.
In my follow-up of the narrations of Muhammad bin Ajlan on the authority of Anas bin Malik, I only came across two narrations, and they were not free from weakness.
Although the one who translated Muhammad bin Ajlan mentioned that he narrated on the authority of Anas bin Malik, it was not proven that he heard from him or met him, and although the narrations that came through him from him were not authentic, if the path to them was correct, then they are like a hidden transmitter. For the contemporary with the inability to meet.
