تعد الشائعات من الأقوال الضارة، ونقل الحوادث الكاذبة، والترويج والتمهيد للأفكار التي تضر ضررا كبيرا بالمجتمع من نواح كثيرة؛ لأنها تقوم على أسس ومضامين غير تربوية وتسعى إلى تفكيك وحدة المجتمع والنيل من مكتسبات الأمة وزعزعة الثقة في لبنات الكيان.
وأصبحت الشائعات قدرا اجتماعيًا وسياسا لا مفر منه، فأغلب الناس قد تعرض لشائعة أو أكثر في يوم من الأيام والكثير عانى من كلام الناس بعض الوقت أو معظم؟ واللافت أن الشائعات قد صارت جزءا من فن السياسة، وفن الحرب، وفن الإعلام والترويج التجاري والفني، بل وصارت فنا من فنون الصراع الاجتماعي والمهني حيث يتم توظيف الشائعات بغرض تحطيم المعنويات، واصطياد الحقائق، والتغطية على الواقع والقضاء على مصداقية الخصم، وإيقاعه في دائرة التفكير المضطرب، وتشويه صورته، ورسم الهالة حول الذات، وفي كثير من الأحيان يتم توظيفها بهدف الوقيعة، وتعطيل نجاح الآخرين وتشتيت انتباههم.
Rumors are harmful statements, the transmission of false incidents, and the promotion and preparation of ideas that greatly harm society in many ways, because they are based on non-educational foundations and contents and seek to dismantle the unity of society, undermine the gains of the nation, and undermine confidence in the building blocks of the entity.
Rumors have become an inevitable social and political destiny, as most people have been exposed to one or more rumors one day and many have suffered from people's words some or most of the time? It is noteworthy that rumors have become part of the art of politics, the art of war, the art of media and commercial and artistic promotion, and even became an art of social and professional conflict, where rumors are employed for the purpose of breaking morale, catching facts, covering up reality and eliminating the credibility of the opponent, and entrap him in the circle of troubled thinking, distort his image, draw the aura around the self, and often it is employed with the aim of driving a wedge and disrupting the success of others and distracting them.
