إن مِن أهم ما ينبغي معرفته لدارسي علم الجرح والتعديل: معرفة مدلول كل مصطلح من مصطلحات أئمة النقد التي أطلقوها على الرواة، ومعرفة مرادهم بها جرحًا أو تعديلًا، والوقوف على مقصودهم من هذا الإطلاق قبولًا، أو ردًّا، ومن أبرز أئمة الجرح والتعديل، الإمام الجليل: محمد بن إدريس بن المنذر أبو حاتم الرازي (ت: 277هـ)، ويأتي هذا البحث ليسلط الضوء على مصطلح من أبرز مصطلحاته التي أطلقها على بعض رجاله الذين ترجم لهم في كتاب «الجرح والتعديل» ، ألا وهو مصطلح: «فيه نظر» وقد تعرض الباحث في بحثه هذا لما يلي: ذكر أهمية الموضوع، وأسباب اختياره، ومشكلة الدراسة، وأهدافها، والدراسات السابقة، وخطة البحث، ومنهجه في هذا البحث، ثم ذكر ترجمة الإمام أبي حاتم الرازي بإيجاز، ثم بين منزلة كتاب: "الجرح والتعديل"، وأهم مزاياه، مبينا أهم معالم منهج الإمام ابن أبي حاتم فيه، ثم ذكر دلالة لفظة «فيه نظر» في اللغة، وعند الأئمة النقاد، ثم ذكر دلالة هذه اللفظة عند الإمام أبي حاتم الرازي من خلال الدراسة التطبيقية، والتي من خلالها قام بترجمة وافية للرواة الذين قال فيهم أبو حاتم  «فيه نظر» ودرس أحوالهم من حيث الجرح والتعديل، ثم خلص في النهاية إلى مقصود أبي حاتم ومدلوله من مصطلح «فيه نظر» على هؤلاء الرواة، ثم قام بدراسة نموذج حديثي لكل راوٍ منهم، مع الوقوف على أحكام العلماء على هذه الأحاديث إن وجدت.
One of the most important things that should be known to those who study the science of jarh and ta’deel is to know the meaning of each of the terms that the imams of criticism applied to the narrators, and to know what they meant by it as wounding or modification, and to find out what they meant by this statement, whether it was accepted or rejected. Among the most prominent imams of jarh and ta’dil is the great Imam. : Muhammad bin Idris bin Al-Mundhir Abu Hatim Al-Razi (d. 277 AH), and this research comes to shed light on one of his most prominent terms that he applied to some of his men for whom he translated in the book “Al-Jarh wal-Ta’deel”, which is the term: “in which there is consideration” and it was presented. In his research, the researcher did the following: He mentioned the importance of the topic, the reasons for choosing it, the problem of the study, its objectives, previous studies, the research plan, and his methodology in this research. Then he briefly mentioned the translation of Imam Abu Hatim al-Razi, then explained the status of the book: “Al-Jarh wa al-Ta’deel,” and the most important Its advantages, indicating the most important features of Imam Ibn Abi Hatim’s approach to it, then he mentioned the significance of the word “in which there is consideration” in the language, and according to the critical imams, then he mentioned the significance of this word according to Imam Abi Hatim al-Razi through the applied study, through which he made a comprehensive translation of the narrators who Abu Hatim said about them, “There is consideration” and studied their conditions in terms of narration and modification, then in the end he concluded with Abu Hatim’s intent and meaning from the term “There is consideration” regarding these narrators, then he studied a hadith model for each narrator of them, while examining the scholars’ rulings on these.
