يدور البحث في شطره الأول النظري حول نشأة أدب الطفل بشکل عام وفي العالم العربي بشکل خاص والمراحل التي مر بها أدب الطفل ،ثم بيان المدخل لکيفية دراسة أدب الطفل والکتابة له ،مع بيان الفروق الظاهرة بين أدب الأطفال وأدب الکبار ، وبيان الرواد في الکتابة للطفل ،ثم يتناول الشطر الثاني التطبيقي دراسة نماذج إبداعية لعدد من الأدباء هم :
محمد عثمان جلال (عن الغراب والتعلب) شعر ،أحمد شوقي (أمة الأرانب والفيل) شعر ،کامل الکيلاني (على ظهر الحوت) قصة ، أحمد صلاح کامل (غابة بلا أنياب) مسرحية شعرية .وفيها حاولت التوفيق بين النظرية والتطبيق في الإبداع المقدم للأطفال في ألوان مختلفة من الأدب هي الشعر والقصة والمسرحية
In its first theoretical part, the research revolves around the emergence of child literature in general and in the Arab world in particular and the stages that child literature has gone through, then explaining the introduction to how to study children's literature and writing for it, with the apparent differences between children's literature and adult literature, and a statement of the pioneers in writing for the child, Then the second applied section deals with the study of creative models for a number of writers, namely:
Muhammad Othman Jalal (on the crow and the fang) poetry, Ahmed Shawki (the nation of rabbits and elephants) poetry, Kamel al-Kilani (on the back of the whale) a story, Ahmed Salah Kamel (a forest without tusks) a poetic play. In it I tried to reconcile theory and practice in creativity presented to children in Different colors of literature are poetry, story and drama
